Cannot Simulate NI PCI-4070 DMM

Then you probably should not have hijacked the original thread or at the very least, mentioned you are using standard DAQmx devices.Smiley Wink

So, you have first created  a couple of simulated devices in MAX and attempt to perform a self test when you get the error? I just did the same thing with a simulated 6221 and it worked just fine. What version of DAQmx are you using?

I swear I was forced to hijack- not out of evil but there are no other threads out there that address this issue.  It occurs, as you say, during the self test.  I have NI-DAQmx 8.3.0, LabView 8.0.  I had an eval version of LabView then got the real thing to get the DAQ assistant and went through a couple versions of DAQmx.  I've tried removing everything and re-installing- but still have this issue.

Sorr, I wish I had an idea. I have DAQmx 8.8 and do not see the issue. While MAX and DAQmx are usually independent from LabVIEW, the most current versions cannot be used with LabVIEW 8.0 so upgrading DAQmx does not seem to be an option.
