Force voltage and current measurement keithley 2400

I am using Labview 8.2 for GPIB interface with keithley.

I am forcing voltage and measuring current at the same time.

for forcing voltage i set the amplitude and for measuring current i set the current compliance

However when i do "meas:curr:dc?"  my current compliance is reset to default value and i get wrong reading.

Is there any other setting i need to do before i do measure current.

Also i want to use "meas:curr:dc?" only?

What keithley instrument you are using? Is this a source meter from keithley? Please let me know

Here is the driver for Keithley 2400 source meter that you will need in order to work with LabVIEW. There will be an example program that you can test it with.

I solved the problem. Before every read statement there should be OUTP ON.

I used this and got the required measurements with the required settings.
