I have a NI 4350 USB device with a TC-2190 thermocouple reader and I can't figure out how to use it with LabVIEW 8.6. It is recognized and works in MAX so is there simply a driver that I missed or have I missed the boat?

Hi boz.wayne,
In order to use the USB 4350 High Precision Temperature Logger, you will need the NI-435X driver. The manual is also a great reference. After installing the 435X driver, there will be examples that install for LabVIEW. You can find these examples by navigating to Start»All Programs»National Instruments»NI-435X»Examples»LabVIEW. You can use these examples to get started with LabVIEW. Please let me know if this helps out.

I have trouble with NI 4351 card. I can see it make a temperature measurement in Max but noneof the VI's I downloaded work with Labview 2010. Please advice.

First check to see that the instrument driver for the 435x downloaded to the correct location. You should see a folder labeled ni435x in C » Program Files » National Instruments » LabVIEW 2010 » instr.lib. If not, I would download the driver and move the folder to the correct location. You will need to verify the driver compatibility with your operating system.

I have a NI USB 4350 card. My system is xp. The driver I installed was NI435X252. I can test the ni card in nidaqmx and it is ok. Now I want to use visual c++ for the collection. But there seems to be a problem with my driver installation. I can not find " Start program »All Programs»National Instruments» ni-435x"
