Hello,

first, I would suggest to reinstall the NI-DAQ driver. Follow the steps below.
1. deinstall the NI-DAQ
2. shut down the PC and take out the PCI-4070
3. install the NI-DAQ
4. shut down the PC and insert PCI-4070

To configure the card step-by-step in LV 7.0 you can use the "DAQ Assistent" supported by the new DAQmx functions. You can find the DAQ Assistant in the Block Diagram under Functions -> Input -> DAQ Assistant.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello again,

I realized now that your post asked about the NI 4070 DMM and not one of our DAQ main-stream products. My previous answer is not correct.

The PCI-4070 is a DAQmx only device, so in MAX it will only be shown under DAQmx devices.

Virtual Channels are not supported by NI 4070. However, all measurement options in the NI 4070 can be set programmatically, such us AutoZero, Offset Compensated Ohms, Powerline frequency, etc.

Please refer to the shipping example programs that install with the NI-DMM driver. This examples are available from the Start menu in your computer or via the LabVIEW Example Finder.

You can find documentation on the different measurement options of the NI 4070 and how to program it in the NI Digital Multimeres Help file, available via the Start menu of your computer or on the web.
