PXI-4070 won't communicate

I bought a spare PXI-4070 for my tester.  The new unit will not communicate with my system which uses the NI DMM 2.2 drivers - but the one that is currently in the tester doesn't have a problem with it.  I suspect that the new unit has a higher firmware revision which requires the higher version of DMM drivers.

Is this truly the case?  and if so, why in the world would a company upgrade firmware of a hardware unit that isn't backwards compatible???

Hello Reese,

I've verified that the firmware has been updated on the device. Can you provide the part numbers of the hardware and the error you are seeing so that I can confirm the behaviour is relative to the firmware?
