Scaling with NI-DMM

Do the NI DMM boards allow for the use of custom scales either through MAX or LabVIEW?  I would like to apply linear scaling to my DMM readings in the same way that you can apply them to DAQ readings, but it doesn't appear to allow for this.  I am using an NI PXI-4070 in a PXI chassis

A linear scale is a simple arithmetic function - mx + b. You have the basic arithmetic functions in LabVIEW on the Numeric palette.

I was mainly wondering if this could be done as part of the acquisition in the same way that it is with DAQmx tasks.  I would prefer to set up the acquisition and then just acquire the data without post acquisition analysis, but it's not a big deal either way.  Just wondering why it would be possible with all DAQ cards and not DMM cards.

Well, you are comparing apples and oranges. DMMs from any vendor don't often have a scaling function.
