Solved!
Go to solution

Hi, I try to download the new version 3.0.1 of the DMM into my computer, however, it said "The compressed (zipped) folders error: Windows cannot open the folder, the compressed (zipped) folder is invalid"

does anyone get this problem? I already download twice, but the problem still the same.

 current version of DMM: 2.9

Hello!

I just tried downloading the zip file myself, and I had no trouble with it (although this was within the company network, which may have some effect).

However, a quick search revealed the following Microsoft KB: Zip Files Downloaded with Internet Explorer Are Not Saved to Your Computer

The error you described seems to occur when using Windows XP and downloading via Internet Explorer with the default Zip program as the Compressed (zipped) Folders.  There appear to be several solutions to this problem, which the link explains.

We also provide a small downloader application with NI-DMM 3.0.1 that helps avoid problems caused by interrupted data transfers.  You may also want to try giving that a shot instead of downloading the raw zip file (you get the same file in the end either way).

Please let us know if this solves your problem.

Thanks,

Hi Tobias,

Thanks for the respond!

I did delete all the file that I download before and re-download the file from the website.

and it looks working alright at this time. so I guess probably it got some interrupt during the download procedure before!

Thanks and have a good day!
