autorange

Hi,

have a 5070 dmm in a pxi rack, and have a problem

The DMM is init

DMM is configured for several 2 wire resistance tests, no problems

Mode is changed to DIODE

a Diode measurement is done, no problems

Mode is changed to DCV, autorange

First voltage measured is always wrong: should be near zero, get about 10vdc consistantly

Second and all other voltages measure correctly

Anyone seen this behaviour before, I have use the 5070 a lot in the past, have never seen this

Hello Jeff,

Similiar to a Resistance measurement, we provide a current through the DUT for a DIODE measurment. I am lead to believe that the device is still providing a current when you switch to a DCV measurement. Can you provide an image of your code, I am suspecting if you are switching these modes programmatically, you are not providing enough of a delay between measurement types?

 Glenn
