Hello,

The best two places to look for instrument drivers are ni.com\idnet and the instrument manufacturer. If you do not find it there, NI does develop drivers internally of course, and if not already under development, you can suggest as much by emailing instrument.drivers@ni.com. There is of course no guarantee that the driver will be developed, but you should be able to get feedback on the matter. One issue which prevents driver development is availability of the instrument, which often times is not purchases, but rather received on a loan basis for the development period.

Has there been progress in developing drivers since the posting of the original request? Currently, I have a partially completed LabVIEW that utilizes hp35670a drivers to interface the hp35665a. However, necessary functions are inoperable in this LabVIEW and I am seeking alternatives.

Can you post the partially completed driver?  What functions are inoperable?  Do you know the form of the commands you need?  If so, you can implement the extra functionality, at the very least on a case by case basis.

I also need a labview driver for a HP35665a.  I am at the point of paying someone to write this plug and play driver.  Is there any interest from other users to share the cost of getting a good VI written?

Hi Frye,

You could definately go through an alliance member (http://www.ni.com/alliance). Their job is to do things like develop drivers for customers that don't want to develop them on their own. Just a suggestion.

It is now April 2008 and it appears as if no one has developed (and shared) a driver for the HP 35665A Signal Analyzer since the start of this thread 4 years ago. If this is not true, and you know of one, could you please point me in the right direction towards finding one.
