Problem resolution

When trying to build an executable I get this error message (in red the messages):
The following files have links to help files that are invalid. Open the files and fix the help links.

then in the Details section:

Visit the Request Support page at ni.com/ask to learn more about resolving this problem. Use the following information as a reference:

Error 7 occurred at ABAPI Check Help FIles.vi -> ABAPI Dist Cmp Settings to Disk Hier.vi -> ABAPI Get Settings From File.vi -> EBEP_Invoke_Build_Engine.vi -> EBUIP_Build_Invoke.vi -> EBUIP_Build_Rule_Editor.vi -> EBUIP_Item_OnDoProperties.vi -> EBUIP_Item_OnDoProperties.vi.ProxyCaller

Possible reason(s):

LabVIEW:  File not found. The file might have been moved or deleted, or the file path might be incorrectly formatted for the operating system. For example, use \ as path separators on Windows, : on Mac OS, and / on Linux.

I do not understand what to do - can someone explain me in simple steps how to build the executable? the vi works fine (so I assume all components are installed properly)

Cheers,

Dimitris

Hi Geophysics,

This is a known issue that has been fixed in later versions of LabVIEW and the Sound and Vibration Toolkit.  The following knowledge bases describe how to fix the problem:

Try this one first:

Error -7 When Building an Executable in LabVIEW 8 with Sound and Vibration Toolkit VIs

This one provides more details about what is occurring:
