Resource conflict + Error 223024 for a PXI-4462

Hello,

I have a PXI-1024Q chassis with 4 x PXI-4462 cards installed in slots 2-5. When I boot up, I get an error message in the POST screen saying "Resource Conflict PCI in Slot 02. Bus 02, Device 0E, Function 00". I switch off, swap cards in slots 2 and 3, and boot again. Same message, except for "...in Slot 03...", therefore it's a card specific error. I press F1 to resume, Windows loads normally.

When I go to Meas. & Auto Explorer, and I try to self test the particular card, I get "Error -223024 occured at self-test". I tried to reset the card, but same error. Cards 2 and 3 pass the self test, and card 4 shows."Error -223026 occured at self-test". Any ideas?

I have DAQmx version 7.4.0f0. I read an article saying that error 223024 might be caused by drivers, however I think that would mean that ALL the cards would get the same error. Is there a possibility my card(s) is faulty?

Many thanks,
Ben

Looks like an internal s/w error on your DSA card

Better contact your Local NI support to resolve this problem

Hi Ben,

The first thing I would recommend doing is upgrading your NI-DAQmx driver to the latest version as this may fix the issue if it is a driver problem. This can be downloaded from:

Drivers and Updates: NI-DAQmx

*remember to install the drivers whilst the cards are REMOVED from the chassis.

From your description, you mention that the problem is initially with the card in slot 2 and when you swap devices for slots 2 and 3, the problem follows the card. This sounds like a card specific problem, but later on in your findings, it also complains about the card in slot 4 during the self-test? So in actual fact, you are seeing problems with more than one card?

What happens when you try this cards one at a time in the chassis, any difference? I would maybe see the effect of trying individual cards in various slots to see if you can narrow down the issue any further, as well as going for the driver update.
