Hi,
I am running EZ-Tomas 8.0.27 in a lab test rig. The setup is 2 proximity probes, one on the top (y) and one on the left side viewed from the end (x - -90°). We have calibrated our Bentley Nevada prox probes at ~300mV/mil. I have used the displacement probe configuration and input 300mV/mil in the mV/EU box.
We know the shaft has about 1.5mil peak to peak run out, as we have put a dial indicator on it and run it at 60 RPM. The indicator reads approximately 1.5 peak to peak. We have put an oscilloscope on the prox probes and read the peak to peak voltage swing as 400mV. Using the scale factor of 300mV/mil, we are reading 1.3mil peak to peak.
Here is the problem: The ez-TOMAS software is reading ~3mV peak to peak displacement. The waveform on the time wave form display is the same as on the oscilloscope, it’s just double in amplitude.
Am I missing something in the setup that would cause a doubling in amplitude?

Hi,
Can you call me @ 330-697-4226 cell. I can go over the setup/details. eZ-TOMAS and the ZonicBook or 600 hardware works very nicely with your sensors and there must be some "setup" issues.
Thanks,
