Accelerometer issues

We are trying to use 2008 KOP accel. Using the Ni example code, the signal is eratic at best and unrepeatable at worst. Does anyone have any tips about how to set and/or calibrate the accel.? Do you have any hints about what to look for? There are many variables.

Can you be more descriptive with exactly the accelerometer example is doing?  You might even try posting a screen shot of your front panel to help demonstrate what you are seeing.  In the Accelerometer palette there are two VIs, Set Center and Set Gain, we can use to calibrate the accelerometer.  Have you tried using these VIs to improve your signal?
