Recently we switched from PWM to Can Jaguar Control. We find now the motors are skipping when giving a constant speed. We are using the WPI 4-Motor VI to open, and the Tank Drive VI to control the motors. We have no other control loops running. Just basically using the robot base slightly modified with CAN.
