Can we convert ni cRIO 9074 to FRC 2009 cRIO?

I suggest finding and using another power supply to isolate the problem to either your cRIO or the power supply.  Once you have done that we can continue debugging.

Hello Mark,

Actually I've tried that with different power supplies but the result is the same.

Thanks ,

Murthy

Since the issue seems to be localized to your cRIO I recommend contacting NI Support so you can troubleshoot your issue with an engineer who specializes in cRIO.

Hello Nate,

I am looking for the latest cRIO update for FRC 2009 inorder to convert the regular cRIO 9074 into FRC cRIO.The link which you provided me does not seem to have the latest image and it says "website is being updated".

So kindly provide me any other alternate source for the latest cRIO image update at the earliest time as we are waiting to work with the cRIO.

Thanks and regards,

Murthy

Hello nate,

Thanks for the update and I already have them.I was unware that the image update will be installed along with the labview software update.I'm glad to find that now. Please tell me if it is enough to update the regular ni cRIO 9074 with that image to make it work as an FRC 2009 cRIO for our testing purposes?.

Thanks and regards,

Murthy

Hi Murthy,

The cRIO IP address should end in a '2'. So in your case, 10.16.77.2. See this document for the IP addresses of the various components.

Hello Nate,

Thanks for the information you provided.I was able to detect my cRIO by using the port 1 of cRIO instead of port 2(earlier).But the method from ni.com asks me to use 10.XX.XX.6 instead of 10.XX.XX.2 http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-2872 .Anyways I was still able to detect my cRIO once i swapped the crossover cable to Port 1.I followed the instruction on this page and started to format it.But then even before the update process completed "reboot error" showed up.Now there's no connection between the cRIO and the computer. Also the power light on cRIO is blinking continuously.

Can you help me solve the problem here?.

Thanks,

Murthy
