Dear Murthy,
Try following the instructions to reformat your cRIO from Measurement & Automation Explorer from this post:

Hello Nate,
I would also like to know if we had to connect the pc to the driver station and driver station to the cRIO or should we connect to the cRIO directly from the pc ,while using the imaging tool?.
Thanks and regards,
Murthy

Hi Murthy,
You should be able to do either. If it doesn't work through the driver station though, I would try it directly with a crossover cable to make sure.

Hello Nate,
We were trying to image regular NI cRIO 9074 with the FRC 2009 cRIO 9074 (last update). When the update process was about to complete by rebooting the cRIO we had an error "reboot error" (error no "56"). Now the cRIO's power led started to blink and does not seem to have connectivity to my PC.
I tried to reboot in safe mode but it doesn't work.
I tried to check the status of the cRIO in MAX but I just got an error 0XBFFF00A7 ( VI_ERROR_MACHINE_NAVAIL)
So kindly help me resolve this problem and reboot the cRIO with latest image.
Thanks and regards,
Murthy

How did you get it to work? Things were sounding pretty dire from your last post.
Documenting your experience might be valuable for someone else down the line.

Hello Sciencewhiz,
I'm glad to document the procedure that enabled me to use regular cRIO as an FRC 2009 cRIO.
1.Downloaded the latest labview update (3.0a)
2.This labview update had an updated image v11.0
3.Powered the cRIO up
4.Used cRIO imaging tool and set the team name and also the IP address was configured for 10.xx.yy.02
5.Imaged the regular cRIO 9074 with this update.
6.cRIO rebooted successfully after the labview update.
7.Labview recognised the cRIO and displayed the IP address to be 10.xx.yy.02 which is the address of the cRIO
8.Right click on the cRIO in labview and click connect to establish connection between the PC and cRIO.
9.Deploy the program VI or RUN the VI.
Thats how i got it to work !

Murthy

Hi Nate,
I have a programming doubt.I deployed the simple motor program VI and it worked perfect in run or Live debugging mode. If I try to deploy it from the project explorer window it deploys the program successfully but I'm not getting the motor to run.I tried changing the value of the constant in VI to 0.1 but still it doesn't turn the motor anyways. Can you help me out with this?
Thanks and regards,
Murthy

I suggest posting this new question as a separate post. I and some of my colleagues monitor the FIRST forum, and one of us will be able to help you out. Plus, with a new post and a descriptive title, you may get some community help as well!
