Somil,

What platform are you using?  NXT or cRIO (FTC of FRC)?  NXT Bricks use Bluetooth for wireless communication, which has a maximum range of 50 feet.  For FTC their are 3 VIs in the FTC palette that are used to unpack messages sent by the FTC Controller station or FMS.  In FRC the communication layer is mostly transparent.  I can go into more detail of each once you answer my first two questions.

Cheers,

Mark

OK

Truly speaking, i am new in this field. I have worked in LabVIEW and have a knowledge of the software well. But this is the first time i am trying such a thing.

I was inspired by the video of unmanned vehicle NICHOLAS on this link (http://zone.ni.com/wv/app/doc/p/id/wv-1255/nextonly/y).

So now i want your opinion, if i want to start with something like nicholas, what all i should use? i will prefer sb-rio then NXT. And one additional feature i want to implement is to control the robot from my PC. through some wireless medium. And bluetooth obviously wont be my choice as its range is limited. There are transmitters and receivers available in the market that can be used through a computer but still i want a lot of guidance

Thanks for the reply

Regards

Somil

Hi Somil - I think you've posted this question in the wrong forum in that case.  This forum is specifically for questions relating to the FIRST program.  If your questions are about general implementation of a robot with wireless control using LabVIEW, you should post in the appropriate forum at http://forums.ni.com/ni/.
