NI,
I'm a 12 yr. LV programmer. I have full LV (including FPGA & RT) on my work laptop.
I'm considering mentoring FRC teams in my area with programming over a web stream video - more interactive than your website.
Is there a way for me to get a copy of the FRC examples, add-on APIs, etc. for FRC training purposes only?
I'd rather not load it on my work laptop for fear of currupting my full licensed LV install. I do have a spare laptop I could load it on.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Mark P. Smith

Hi Mark
Thank you for your interest in getting involved and helping the minds of the future. Making a webcast is a great way to reach out to several teams at once and a veteran LV programmer will be extremely helpful for them. Concerning the LabVIEW FRC, you concerns are correct; this software should not be loaded on a computer that already contains National Instruments software. You will need to contact FIRST about volunteering, as they will have more information regarding the teams in your area and be able to get you a copy of our FRC software. I have linked below the contact information and email address, in the meantime Mark we would be excited to have you join us on the forums community helping answer LabVIEW questions that arise!

Was it an answer to the question where to get FRC examples?

Hello Alex,
The FRC examples are installed automatically with LabVIEW FRC. There is a link on the initial screen that points to FRC Examples.
If you do not have LabVIEW FRC and are not involved with a team (mentor, teacher, etc.) then you should contact FIRST to discuss becoming a volunteer and they should be able to get you a version of the software. However, the easiest way to get the software and help teams is to work with teams in your area to become a mentor and they should have the software on hand already.
Please let me know if you have any further questions on this issue and I will be happy to assist you. Have a great day!
Thanks!
