Field Management Software Installation Error

When I go try to install the Field Management Software I am getting the following error message:

"Unable to the LabView runtime engine.

Filed Managment requires a version 8.5.1 or higher."

I have installed the LabView software that came with this years kit as well as the critical patch the installation software called for. The start up screen shows I am running LabView 2009 V.9.0f2.

We are a rookie team and really frustrated.

Where did you get this Field Management software?  Is it an EXE or VIs?  If it is an EXE you may simply require the LabVIEW 8.5.1 Runtime Engine.

Is this for FTC? I would guess it is, based on your LabVIEW version. Is this the Field Management software you installed? http://www.education.rec.ri.cmu.edu/content/events/ftc/labview/index.htm

Both FRC and FTC use the term Field Management system, but the software is completely different. Since both programs use this community, it's helpful to identify which program your question pertains to.

Last year FTC used LabVIEW 8.5.1, so teams from last year would have already had it installed. I think when it says to use 8.5.1 or higher, it means higher like 8.5.2, not 8.6 or LabVIEW 2009. It's confusing since the 2009 FTC used LabVIEW 8.5.1 while the 2010 FTC uses LabVIEW 2009. The documentation refers to installing the 2009 FTC software. I think getting the program that BLAQmx linked should fix the problem for you.
