According to Bill's Blog, everything in the 2011 kit of parts supports Windows 7. Does this mean that a new version of LabVIEW will be provided, since LabVIEW 8.6 doesn't support Windows 7?
I think VI Snippets would be very valuable for helping people. Too often I see people asking for help use screenshots, but the real problem is hidden in a case statement that isn't shown. On the other hand, when someone posts a full VI, it takes longer to get help because not everyone has LabVIEW immediately availible to look at the code. VI Snippets seems like it combines the best of both worlds and would encourage more help in the FRC community.

Hello sciencwhiz,
Yes, the 2011 KOP will include a newer version of LabVIEW that will support Windows 7. Typically the version of LabVIEW the teams use for competition is a revision or 2 behind the current commercially available version of LabVIEW. This would likely mean that the 2011 KOP would contain a copy of LabVIEW 2009. As far as VI Snippets being supported in the FRC version of LabVIEW, I am not 100% certain.
