No connection to DS

Our DS will not communicate using cables plugged into the Ethernet jacks.  There is no communication with the cRIO - the LEDs on the cRIO jack do not light up.

When I connect from a laptop to the DS, I get a message on my computer indicating that the network cable is still unplugged.  I can connect to other devices (like the cRIO) with this computer and have tried multiple cables.

That being said, we can not do anything regarding the benchtop testing.  Is it possible my DS is broken?

What is on the DS screen? Did you update the firmware? Is either ethernet lighting up?

Basically, in order to answer your question, I need more information.

The DS reads:

Team Number: 00000

Mode: Teleoperated

System: Enabled (switching from enabled to disabled using the dongle did not change anything other this field on the screen)

Battery: No comm

**OTB**

Neither ethernet light (ETH1 nor ETH2) is lighting up.  Additionally, if I connect a CAT5 cable from either of several different laptops to the DS, I get no LEDs on that computer's network jack.

This was before I update the firmware on the DS.  I saw there were some issues where things like the team number could not be changed until the firmware was update.  After reading that, I update the firmware (without issue) and I continue to see the same response.

That sounds to me like a dead DS. I would contact QwikByte.

Thanks, that is what we had suspected.

I have contacted FIRST as the part was shipped to us this way and I was hoping to get it replaced.
