Platform options for LabVIEW and cRIO

Hi all,

New to LabVIEW, 4th year FRC (1st year FLL).

Wondering what, if any, are the limitations of using LabVIEW across platforms (Windows, Mac & Linux) for FRC?

If LabVIEW is not available for cross-platform use in FRC, what are the suggestions for programming the cRIO with a multi-platform team.

LabVIEW itself is cross platform and availible on Windows, Mac, and Linux. However the LabVIEW real time module that we need to interact with the cRIO only runs on Windows. Several people have been able to succesfully get the FRC version of LabVIEW running in virtual machines.

That was quite helpful. So are there any best suggestions for programming the cRIO on a platform other than Windows?
