Problem with installation

We are using a new laptop and are trying to install Labview from the 2009 FIRST DVDs.  I'm having problems using the serial number we got with the original dvd: L12R86754.  It says the serial number is invalid.  I thought the number lasted for a full year.  Is there something I'm missing?

Thank you for contacting National Instruments.

So this serial number is the serial number that you recieved with this year's kit?  You should be able to use that serial number in order to activate the LabVIEW 2009 with NXT and FTC.  If you can provide some screenshots of your NI License Manager I would be happy to look into this further.

I can also look to get you another serial number if you are still experiencing the same issues.
