Foundation Fieldbus & Micro Motion Flowmeters loosing communications on the segment

HI All

We have configurator 3.0 using the CN2FF linking device. We had one working a couple of weeks ago but when we triy to connect another it disrupts all comms on the segment. All of the 3 micro motion flowmeters are the same firmware etc. We need all 3 on the same segment but anymore than one drops out the comms. Has anybody ever had this before? It is very hard to get support on this? We did try both of the two new ones individually on their own on the segment and could not get them to work which leads us to think that it is a flowmeter issue but nobody can give us answers.
All and any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Hugh

As you said, you had one device working fine before, so is it still working now?
I think if one device can work, but another individually doesn't work, it's the device's issue.
What's the error you got in Configurator?

We are trying to install 2 new mico motion flowmeters to the same segment. The are the same device with same firmware and everything and all paramteres are the same. When  we download the function block application  and the status window says "Configuring Linkages"  - -it goes to the first (existing flowmeter) AI block and works fine but as soon as it start either of the new flowmeters it says retry instead of successful and we have tried this 3 times and then it says download error - -final error says "unknown device error -41"

I can understand that you would think it is the device but from the process tab we can read all the values prior to mapping to the AI block when everything seems to crash???????????????

PLease help

Thanks

Please try to clear those two devices in Configurator. Right-click on the device, select "Clear Device."

Tried clearing the device with no change.  I've attached a screen shot showing the error that comes up.

Thanks for your help.

There are two possible reasons.
1. Are you using RSLinx OEM version or the light version? If you are using RSLinx Light, you can't use NI Configurator with it.
2. NI Configurator 2.3.6 is the only version that officially supports CN2FF linking device. We tried it and successfully downloaded the configuration. So, it's maybe the Configurator 3.0 issue.
See the attachment, that's what I did on my computer.
