I updated my DD to use the Standard DD library version 3.4. My new DD
causes the NI communications manager 3.2.3 to crash. I need to use 3.2.3
to register the DD at the Fieldbus Foundation. The com manager will crash
while the block list is loading in NI-FBUS configurator and also while running
one of the Function block DD tests on ITK.
I brought the DD to another computer running NI 3.1 and everything works as
expected (no crashes).
What can I do to troubleshoot why my DD causes the com manager to
crash? Even if something was horribly wrong with my DD, I would not
expect my Host to crash.
