Hello Amr,

Thank you for choosing NI-FBUS products! Hope the following links could help to update your software copy.

For NI-FBUS Communications Manager:
The free copy of the 3.1 version is available through
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/FE1247CE1EC8C67086256E3E005A6521?opendocument

For NI-FBUS Monitor:
Please be aware that the latest NI-FBUS Monitor is 3.0 version, which supports Windows XP. Since you have an old version Monitor, you can simply upgrade this software. Monitor Upgrade is orderable now with the part number 860293A-03. Please refer to the following link for more information.

On the other hand, I guess your PCMCIA-FBUS card is old model (Series 1), which might not work well with some new laptops (having O2Micro PCMCIA controller). Actually, this hardware is replaced by PCMCIA-FBUS Series 2 more than two years ago. For your information, I list some of the new features of S2 card below.

1. 3.3 V Type II PCMCIA card
2. Better compatibility with popular Cardbus controllers, especially comply with O2Micro Cardbus controllers (Series 1 card can not work with O2Micro)
3. Lower power consumption
4. Easy to upgrade firmware and flash rom

Please check whether your PCMCIA-BUS hardware works well with your new laptop. If it doesn't, I suggest you update your hardware too. The part number for PCMCIA-FBUS S2 is 777282-01 (1 port) and 777282-02 (2 ports). In addition, NI also provides a trade-in option for North American customers, you will have 40% discount to exchange your old card with a new S2 card. For more information, please refer to the attached PDF file.

Hope it helps and please be free to let us know if we can do more help!
