pcmcia-fbus/2 card start up

I'm using NI-FBUS Configurator 3.2.1 in combination with the PCMCIA/2 series 2 cards.

At startup the fieldbus communication manager will not start up (hang) until my conector of the card is disconnected.

Both  ports are set as link master device. (p.s.CM does startup fine on the same segment in combination with a singel port card)

I reproduced this failure on different laptops with the same result.

Somebody else with the same problems?

Please send an email to us from www.ni.com/ask with some detailed information, including the date you bought the card, and the error code or screenshot of the hang.

I  found out the solution for this problem.

The second port of the card was open (not connected) so the software saw noise there, and was not starting because of that.

Simple solution is to put a jumper on the second port, a nice extra effect is that the configurator is much more stabel too.
