All new responses/messages to the top

Hi,

Is there a way of putting all the newly replied messages to the top of a board.

I was using my dashboard to indicate new responses but when I click on to go and look at these new responses, I found I had to scroll through several pages before I found them all. For example they was 4 new responses in the TestStand, 2 were on the first page, 1 was on the next and the 4th was on the 4th page.

Ray Farmer -

This has been a very popular request so far, and we are working with the forum developers to make it a configuration option in your User Profiles. The developers have told us that it shouldn't be difficult to implement, but we haven't heard yet when it will be available.

Here are some of the other discussions about it so far:
Finding new replies to old threads
Identifing there are new messages in a board
Sorting the list of threads in each forum

Thanks for the feedback!

Hi Molly:

Honestly, I would say that this issue is very critical.
I just hope that they (the developers) would put this on their top priority list.
Would they be able to provide us estimated date on when would this be implemented?

Thanks in advance. 😄

I'm looking forward to this feature, too.
Unsorted like this it is very complex 😞

We were able to release this feature to the community this morning.

You can sort the messages in the board view by the date the thread was started or by the date of the most recent post to the thread. The default is to sort it by the most recent post to the thread so that messages with new activity are at the top of the list.

To change the sort order for your account, login to your profile and click on the preferences tab. Make any changes you would like and be sure to click Save Changes.

Thanks!

It would be great if this sorting preference could also be applied to the subscriptions list (e.g. Bottom of personalized home page and "My profile..subscription" tab).

In addition, this new sorting should also apply to the list shown when doing a "Find all posts by this user" in a user profile.

These are both great suggestions that I will pass on to the forum developers.

Thanks!
