.BMP Attachments

I thought bitmap images with a .bmp extension were one of the file extensions that were blocked from being uploaded to the forum due to the huge file size these files can get.  In this example, the file size isn't so bad, but how was the poster able to upload the image?  Are .bmp files now allowed to be uploaded?

simple muks. i just tried the forum search for bmp and found the admin thread involving discussions then caught this thread easily
