Better tools for signatures

Around certain events, some of us might want to temporarily change the forum signature and revert later (e.g. before NI-Week to promote a session). Unfortunately, there is only one field for signatures and in order to create a new one, we need to overwrite a the old one irreversibly (unless we store the text elsewhere verbatim. Tedious!).

I would prefer multiple (e.g. 3-5) signature fields where we easily can pick which one to use at any given time while the other signature alternatives are safely kept for re-use.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it is not possible within the current system. Should this change in the future, we will certainly take this under consideration. In the meantime, you can use macros as a workaround to multiple signature lines.  You can find macros in my settings.

Thanks. Macros are not the same, because they only apply to a single post and then remain permanent. Signatures update for all my posts dynamically.

Oh well, I can work around it ... 🙂
