Bizarre carriage return behavior in Opera 9.6

PS - It's as difficult to correct as this post is to read!

Thanks,

but why does that make carriage returns also so strange?

My web browser is Opera 9.62, and I know it's 'not supported so I can't spell-check'

else down one line, and starts the cursor above it.

instead of going *down* one line and returning to the beginning, it pushes everything

However, for some very strange reason, your forum software likes to, when I hit 'return'

I typed this message as I would any, by writing a few words, then hitting 'return'.

Very bizarre!

Have you tried editing in HTML mode instead as a workaround?

Thanks for reporting this (crazy) bug.  I have passed it along to our forum vendor.

Thanks for the feedback.

I do have a workaround for the weird carriage return issue: Write the whole post externally (I used Notepad), cut and paste. That seems to work. Except when it takes so long to type that your login authentication expires (another post did).

Carriage return Still broken in Opera 9.63.
I suspect as with many American websites, the forum isn't standards compliant 😞

It's also dissapointing to see a message exclaiming my Browser is not supported.
I should have the option to continue anyway. Just becuase Opera isn't tested doesn't mean it won't work.

It's poor design to blanket exclude a browser becuase it's not been tested.

Hoping for acceptance in the new year 🙂

I'm using Opera 9.64 on Windows Vista, and still having this error.
Has anyone found a solution yet, or still working on it?

Hi Cory,

I have not heard anything about this bug since reporting it to our forum vendor.  I'll check in with them again.

Thanks,
