Board/Thread Subscriptions

Is it just me, or have the subscription options changed.

Since eariler this morning, I've started receiving email notifications from threads I'm not subscribed to. I know an option was added early on so we could choose to only receive notifications from threads we subscribe to and new threads. This doesn't seem to be working, at least for me any more.

I've looked through my Profiles Subscription settings and don't see anything for this option anymore
(disclaimer: It's Friday and I'm taking all next week off, so I may not paying that close attention)

Ed

Additional Info:
Just noticed that I'm getting two noticies from threads I'm actually subscribed to. One note says "Subscription to Board", the other is "Subscription to Thread"

Ed Dickens -
The email notifications for the threads you aren't subscribed to, are they in the boards that you are subscribed to?  If you are subscribed to a thread and a board, I think it's expected the behavior that you would be notified twice for a message posted to that thread - once on the thread subscription and once on the board subscription.
Personally, my subscriptions are set to daily, so I'm not exactly sure what the behavior was for immediate subscriptions yesterday and if it did in fact change overnight.  Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks!

The behavior has changed since yesterday. The dual notices are from boards that I’m subscribed to, but I used to only get the Subscribed notice. Note that now I am also getting notices from replies to threads that I am not subscribed to, but I am subscribed to that board. I use to only get notices from new threads and it ignored replies unless I subscribed to that thread. Ed

Hello Molly,

I've had to unsubscribe from the LabVIEW board. I just don't have time to wade through every new thread and all of their replies.Smiley Sad (200-300/day)

I still can't figure out what happened. The attached image shows my profiles subscription page and it's current settings. It seems there used to a setting for "New Threads Only" or something like that.

Any ideas?

Ed

I can confirm a recent (last several days) change in subscriptions.  Originally with the new forum
emails were sent for every message to a subscribed board.  Some time later an option appeared
(or was found by me) to email only when a new thread appeared in a subscribed board.  I like the
new thread only option much better.  The every message option is overwhelming.  Any chance
we can get the option restored or get instructions to its location?

Thanks.

No,  since that date I also get ALL messages of the subscriped boards instead of only the new treads...

Question: How to setup the profile to get only new treats of a board (now) ?

Good morning -
We have had two small upgrades in the past week and it seems that we have broken the subscription feature that allows you to select whether you are notified of all new messages or just new threads.
I have reported it and hope to get it resolved quickly.  Thanks for your patience!
