Delete Posting

There needs to be a way to delete a Job Posting after the job has been filled.

I posted a job opening back in September of last year and posted it filled in May of this year.  I am still getting resumes from people who can not read or understand that the position is filled. These people immediately go to my do NOT hire list.

thank you

Hai,

You can always use "Report to moderator" from the options menu and ask the moderator to delete that particular thread telling the correct reasons.

Hope this helps!

That actually sounds good, since it means you won't have to waste any efforts on them the next time you have a job opening. 😄

In some ways, deleting a thread distorts history, because people want to possibly look at old job posting, just to see how many get filled and how many don't. If all threads get deleted, a student might think there are never any jobs in LabVIEW and study ancient literature instead. (Not that there's anything wrong with that) 😄

Maybe something similar to the "accepted solution" mechanism could be adapted to take a special meaning in the job boards, where the thread could be marked as "filled", "No longer available", etc. by the originator of the thread.

How about editing the post to delete the contact info?

We have history,

we have an end to the inquiries, and

we have a public record of those that can not read. Smiley Happy
