"a few hours" mean 4 hours, 12 hours or 24 hours?

I doubt it would work anyway - I'm sure they'd have the logins set to be a day apart to prevent such a thing.

Actually I wasn't sure what exactly you meant. I thought LV's cookies update that status automatically.
But now I'm sure you meant that we can create a batch file to increase the counts... 🙂
Hmm... let's not take that trouble, instead ask NI to do that smart updation 😉 ... u know, like legalising demands, so no more crime. 😉
Jokes apart, I am not desparate to be called a Veteran.
The word "Veteran" means an oldtimer, or a seasoned (user/worker etc.); and I am definitely one. If users of certain status were changed to "Veterans" I think it's absolutely fine. After all, they are the oldtimers. "Proven" or "Trusted" is something different, but Veterans should be those oldtimers only.
Not being modest, neither hypocrite, but I am absolutely fine with my "Regular" recognition. And with "Active Regular" I am more than happy. 😄 ... If one day people call me "Proven" or "Trusted" it would be an honor. I would like to learn a lot before that, though.

Oops!!! A mistake in my sentence.
Corrected:
The word "Veteran" means an oldtimer, or a seasoned (user/worker etc.); and I am definitely NOT one.

Unfortuately I think I could easily be considered an old timer no matter how you slice it. I even have the gray to prove it.

LOL! You mean, gray hair? 😄 ... You're qualified then. 😉
Why "unfortunately?" Good for you to be considered Veteran. See, Ben already considers you PAV (Proven Active Veteran).
I registered in November 2007, and there are users who registered after me and are PAV or higher, simply because they have been very active, while I just (a few months/weeks back) started being "active" on the forums. Although, I first started using LabVIEW in 2003 with Version 6, I wasn't much into searching Internet for all the answers. I was still "learning" that "approach," and soon I entered into KM/KE getting more exposed to all these "searching answer" methodology.
Am I a LV Veteran with black hair? 😛

Like you I registered a while back but have only really been active in the last few months. Prior to that I was generally on LAVA (still am).I did start using LabVIEW a little earlier than you though. I started back in 1997 on LabVIEW 3.

I'm only 19, is my veteran status going to be revoked because I dont have gray hair (yet)

My opinion has no weight in this discusion but I would like to mention that grey hair has nothing to do with Veteran etc.
Gary hair is anti-genetic. Unlike your genes that you inherit from your parents, you get gray hair from your kids.

So NO Cory. Your status won't be revoked. More black haired guys will be Veterans.
Else, there will be more complexity in the Ranking formulas. Till now they are trying to fix things using Kudos and Tags. Now they will have to use Hair color also...
This means, more complexity. Which means more time to get things resolved, even more uncertainty. Which means, Mark will have to wait more time for his deserved status. So it's a race condition here if we bring hair colors in the consideration. 😄
A good program (and programmer) is the one that/who avoids Race Conditions. 😉
