In Search 1.0 I could search for posts by a certain author in a certain board and get an exact number as opposed to about something something.

Here is an example of the utter failure of search2.0.  Find all unanswered posts in last 24 hours in LabVIEW forum.  Search 2.0 just can't do it but the leftover 1.0 filter still works.  2.0 filters are just plain broken and seem to work only on threads (Started by user ) not posts (Authored by user)

My two most common Google searches (in no particular order) obviate the need for improvements in the NI forum search function:

  1. site:ni.com <search term>
  2. site:lavag.org <search term>

Although helpful, you cannot search for non-indexed content in private forums or community groups using this method. The need for a search interface is diminished, not quie obviated. Smiley Wink

How do you undo a "Me too"?

On this message I was went to click on the link for the image, but Firefox redraw the window and shifted everything due to my NoScript addon. Hence, the click went to the Me Too.

I was asking this long ago with no result.

I guess you cannot (maybe a moderator can do it for you, but I assume they have better things to do).

I don't think we can really tell who gave the "me too", so it is quite anonymous... or isn't it?

Yes, the current implementation is very incomplete. I hate irreversibility. 😉

That reminds me of the time shown on my Jeep's clock radio. It is a lot easier to mentally subtract one than to figure out to make it show the right number.

Ben,

You need to get a rotary dial indicator for your Jeep clock. You could set it from your Western Bell (do you mean Western Electric?) phone. On the other hand, why would a Jeep even have a clock?

I thought Western Bell was the part of Ma-Bell that manufactured the phones.

Well since I was wrong I might as well toss that signature.

PS Something tells me people would prefer the old rotary phone. Smiley Wink
