Forum messages view doesn't wrap?

I have a question regarding the page width when viewing posts. Why can't the messages wrap when I resize the browser to a smaller size? If I size the browser window smaller than around 1100px width, I get the annoying scrollbar on the bottom. I have a very large monitor but I like to position 2 browser windows side by side and this feature makes it impossible. Is it the post contents that force this?

Michael -
Good question.  You are right that the minimum width in the forums (without scrolling) is somewhere around the 1100 pixel range.  There is the potential that the contents of the messages in a thread can actually increase this minimum - for example, when a wide image is included in the message.  Unfortunately, I don't have access to change the minimum, so we will have to resolve this with larger monitors, higher resolution, or dual monitor setups. Smiley Happy

I use a laptop, so I will need a replacement for the entire computer, plus a 21 inch laptop is hard to carry around, so I will need a Segway too. Smiley Very Happy

Thanks in advance...

Actually, I use 1024x768 and usually I don't need to scroll, but there are times when I do (even if there is no apparent reason for why the display should be wider.

On my powerbook, the width limit seems to be around 777 pixels, far from the Molly's 1100 limit. Thanks to wrapping, it's still usable at 647 pixels, and that allows having two windows side by side. But, as tst, from time to time I have to maintain a nearly full size to avoid scrolling. There is some hidden bug there...

That's Michael fault ! 😉
He told me to suppress the scroll. I did.
Then I spent one hour searching for a command to align the text on the right. No chance.
No way either to put a colored background.:(
There is a strong probability that I'll return to my previous signature, even if it does not work with Fire Fox...:P

Why not use this:

<div align="right">ABC</div>

Thanks Michael,

Don't know how I missed that. Could be perfect if you had a solution for the line background...

You have fixed it but strange enough Charly, when you had your faulty sig, the message view actually did wrap...
