How do I change my alias?

The first page of My Settings claims "To change your name displayed on the NI Forums, please modify the Alias in your NI Profile." yet this doesn't appear to be true.  Has this been disabled or something?

It worked for me just fine.

You might have to sign out of the forums and sign in again to see it take effect.

Weird.  I left the site earlier and when I came back I was asked to enter a new alias.  I was still logged in though so logging out didn't trigger it.

Either way, all set now.

You should just be able to go to ni.com/profile (linked in the footer of the site as My Profile) and click "edit" on the My Information section.  There is an alias field.  Once you come back to the forums and logout / login your alias should update.

Actually before when I went to edit my profile my Alias field was blank (even though the forums knew me as Cunk) and when I tried to edit that section I was never provided with a text box for editing the Alias.

Must have been a quirk or something.  I made this account several years ago so maybe some forum upgrade left me in some half-finished state.  Either way, all is well now.

No, that's not me.  Unless I registered before I ever heard of LabVIEW (summer '08).  I suppose it's not outside the realm of possibility that I'm a sleepwalking psychic and don't realize it.  And, based on the posts elset made, my psychic self speaks French too.
