How do I list the threads that I started?

I have not found a way to get a list of all threads that I (or a given user) have started here. Is there a way?

For example, the advanced search won't let me search using only the following options:

  • Without the words: Re:
  • Search the Message Subject Only = yes
  • Return only messages written by = altenbach

I need at least one search word.

I would prefer if the user profile page had seperate links for:
  • Threads started by this user
  • Replies by this user

This could easily be accomplished by making the number under "Total Started Threads" and "Total Replies" a link to the appropriate post list.

You are right that there isn't a good way (that I can think of) to do this now. I will add your suggestion to the list. Does anyone else have any suggestions for this one?

    Thanks!

A bit late, but I ran into this myself. I searched for subjects with any of the following words "I a the that" and so on, and without "re:" and I think I got all of my threads (and a few others that didn't have re:).

    Bump!

I am still looking for this (allthough ignoring 'Re:' is working quite well)

Their database does contain the number of threads started, so somehow, they may actually keep track of which ones they are.  I agree that this would be a good feature to have.

Bump again. So can this not be done? I will try ignoring the Re:

Yes, if you use the advanced search and search for posts by you without Re: then you should get a decent list of threads started by you.  I have previously submitted a suggestion for this feature and I will make sure that it is still being considered.

    Thanks,

I just want to add that if you happen to post to the Italian forum you may need to exclude also the keyword "Rif:", localized version for keyword "Re:" is used in almost all other forms (at least international, spanish and french ones),
