IE 8 running on XP with Skype while sitting in Ben Tracker eqauls memory leak !?!

I have been in the habit of leaving a web-page onpen on the Ben Traker page to watch for replies for a couple of years now.

About tow weeks ago I had to add Skype.

Ever since then the IE window has been gobbling up memory such that when I come back to the machine after an hour or so, there is alomost a Gig of memory allocated to the IE window. I close the window an my memory frees up fine.

Anyone else see this behaviour?

Anyone know what SAkype could be doing to me and how to stop it?

Doh!

I just shut-down Skype (I think) to see if that stops it.

Do you get the same problem using a different browser?

If I had to guess, I'd guess that Skype loaded a plugin into IE. You should check the list of add-ons for IE to see if this is the case, and you can disable/remove the plugin.
