This thread is obsolete.  the same objective can be reached by ckicking your alias to get to your profile page, hitting the "View all images for..." link on the right side and when you click the add images button you see this:

Add icon attempts or sig line graphic to your pivate album and link to the URL of that picture (makes it fast to load from the same server)
