Issue in posting a message…

Hi,

I just wanted to post an answer to a question.

1. I wrote my message text, then clicked on "Post" button.

2. Switched to another tab in my browser (Firefox64.0).

3. Came back to message tab: message apparently wasn't posted (but browser seems to be finished with loading the webpage), so clicked on "Post" button again.

4. Got that screenshot:

Uh-oh: where is my message? And which errors are highlighted in that screen?

5. Just went back to the thread in the forum: my message was posted successfully: So why did I get an error before?

Somehow bad UX…

Hi Gerd,

I don't see anything in the logs to help identify what might have gone wrong.

I do see a "Success" message at the bottom of your screenshot - which explains why the post was made without you knowing. It's possible that the page timed out in between the post being made and seeing the error?

I would ask that you let us know if you continue to encounter this. More examples of the issue would allow us to do a deeper investigation.
