Line spacing while posting a message

It has never been clear to me why sometimes while posting a message I get a single-line spacing and sometimes a double-line one.
Explaining: as you can see, in this message the new paragraph follows exactly the previous one, without extra spacing. Sometimes it happens that an extra line is automatically added to separate individual paragraph, that cannot be cleared.
Now my question is; when is this extra line added and why sometimes it isn't?

You can always use shift+enter to force a single-spaced line break.
(like this). Typically, when you press enter, the page insersts <p></p> pairs, causing the paragraph breaks.

For full control, use "edit as HTML" and you have access to the actual html codes. edit as needed. 😄

Thanks altenbach for the tip, I didn't knew it! Smiley Happy

Still remains the question mark on how the editor behaves: the first message of this thread was written using Enter to separate paragraphs: no double spacing there. This post is written the same way: double spacing!  Smiley Surprised

Just looking at the html for this page (said that I know anything of html language) : in my first post paragraphs are enclosed into < DIV > and < /DIV > marks, while in altenbach one and this one paragraphs are enclosed into < P > < /P > marks.

This is odd behavior - I agree.  It is supposed to be fixed in the next update... coming soon to a forum near you 🙂

Hi Roberto,

I noticed the same behavior.  A bit annoying, but nothing dramatic..

Thanks for posting it 😄
