NI Developer Exchange Wishlist addition.

Actually, the problem is just with the " at the end. This is the link. However, since this is a wishlist for the forums, and not for LV, this is not the place for this discussion. Suggestions can be made at the product suggestion center.

Molly,

I would like to see another feature. A new button

All to often questioners will spell out in writting how much they appreciate the effort of a contributor. I ahve even seen were they go out of their way to thank the effort and will post a specail picture or something as a gift.

I have handled in one of three ways in the past.

1) I added a reply to let the Q'er knwo that stars are valuabel around here, give them 5-star ratings.

2) I rate the answers in the bahlf of the Q'er

3) I ignore it.

I do not like doing #3.

#1 takes too long!

#2 will often show up with my finger prints all over it.

NEW BUTTON - "Suggets Stars" button.

Will post an anonomous message with a good explantion of how stars are the polite way of saying thank you blah , blah, blah.

So...

Do you think your team could figure how to do something like that?

Anyone else have thoughts on that idea?

I would like another new button be added to the screens when viewing questions.

The new button would be an "Escalate to Support" button.

This button would only be available to those who have posted (?) >200 answers.

When the button is hit, a new entry will be added to the thread stating "This question has been escalalted" and the generated SR# dispalyed.

I would then hope that the support engineers would answer these questions first!

What do you think?

Ben,

I really like your idea of "suggest star" button, sometimes, when I read threads and learn something I like I rate the post, I think this is the least I can do... and sometimes I feel like posting to Q'er to tell then to rate answers that help then.

About the "escalate button", they surely would help application engineers to save time and to make their knowledges even more "well-used"... (hmmm... this is not the word I was looking for, I hate being limited by my vocabulary skills Smiley Sad, anyway, no doubt you see what I mean)

I put my thumbs up for these 2 new buttons 😉

I would like two changes implemented.

1) Everytime a VI is attached, I would like the have the forum include the BD. The Code Capture/Snippet tool can be used for the image.

2) Any time a person replies and uses the text "thank you" I want the Kudo button to be clicked.

Thank you,
