Laura,

I just wanted to add a comment about your bug list item #13

13. Subscription emails - Weekly Digest is not working as expected for Board subscriptions.

I see the same/similar problem with the daily digest.  Instead of receiving one digest email a day, I now receive about 3-10 emails a day.  I get one "normal" digest email each morning around 7am that contains most of the new posts.  Then I receive several other emails throughout the day, each containing one post.  Those single posts are not posts that were in the first digest of the day nor are these posts included in the first digest of the next day.  The single post emails are definitely not threads that I am subscribed to or that I have posted to.  I can't find any pattern to which posts are sent separately.  Sometimes they are the first post in a brand new thread and other times they are replies to existing threads.

-Jeff

I promise this is my last post in a row - there are so many replies, I want to keep them all straight!

Jeff - I mistyped, I am aware that this is happening for the daily digest as well.  I hope that it is fixed soon.  I will keep the community updated.

Thanks,
Laura

No I was signed in.

I circled the "Reply" word. Why do those only appear on un-rated messages.

What does the "Thisis not me" text I circled mean?

Ben

Hi Ben -
Sorry, it looks like I completely misunderstood your questions!  I don't know why that Reply appears only on un-rated messages, but I will report it.

About the "This is not me" text - the site reads a cookie in your browser to display what you have listed in your ni.com profile as your name.  If you share a computer, it is possible that the wrong cookie is set, so that link is a fast way to log out of one profile and into another.  To access secure applications on our site like the store, you will have to provide a password for just this reason.

Hope this helps!

Don't worry Laura, this is not a new bug report 😉 😄

Just a new suggestion.

In the forums, we have the possibility to sort/show questions according to their answered or unanswered status. I think this is a rather usefull tool (I remember sometime ago somebody writting the opposite...) : there are days when the questions arrive so rapidly that some are lost in the flood and pushed on the second page in a few minutes.

I often have a look at the unanswered questions, but I feel this could be made more usefull if we add the possibility to look for questions with less than a given number of replies (2-3 would be enough...). The reason is simple :  I don't have much time to check if a question has received a proper answer. (Well, of course when the answer is given by Dennis, Altenbach or somebody else from the club, I don't mind very much... 😉 ), while we all know that very often the first and second replies are mere exchanges to get/provide additionnal explanations/data. Questions with a low reply number are often unanswered.

Is there a way to include this functionnality in a future update of the system ?

Laura F. a écrit:... Third attachment text is cut off in CC's posts (see image below) - this also seems to affect Ben's signature.  There was a limit on signature size causing the problem, it is now fixed...

Laura, it seems that this bug made a come back. As shown here, now the second attachment text is cut off. That's worse 😉

Laura,

Does the spell check work?  I tried it earlier this morning and it failed to find 3 mis-spells.

Let's try something below.

Mary ha a litelk lamg as wite as snoe

didn't work...  I'll check your list (I should have started with that 😉 )

EDIT >>  didn't see it on your list..

Hi CC,

I have logged your suggestion and think I have taken care of the cutoff attachment links again.

JLV - I checked spellcheck in IE7 and it seemed to work just fine.  What browser are you using?

Everyone:  I will be out for the remainder of the week, so I'm not ignoring you if I don't reply Smiley Wink

Thanks!

Hi JLV,

So when I tried it in IE6, spell check picked up the (non)words litelk lamg  but not ha wite snoe.

IE7 behaves the same way actually.  Dictionary.com tells me that ha and wite are actually words, but not snoe.  Is this the same behavior you saw?

Thanks,
Laura

Laura,

You have lost your "auto-star" feature.

Is this on purpose?

No..  it wouldn't pick up any spelling errors..

You simply click on that red checkmark, right?

Like right now I will click on the red checkmark without (and with) selecting any text.  Letz zee if itz gunna peekup anny errurze  (I sound like CC don't I?  LOL!! 😄  just joking bro) 😄

I just get the box saying it is doing a spell check..

I guess I must be an excellent speller!

EDIT:   Okay... I bet someone's gonna tell me I'm doing it wrong!!!

😄
