I think some one is one-staring you muks.

We never know why. Lets see if we can get some help.

i would suggest you guys go one step further by allowing either PEVs or the one who posted the question alone to rate.Just look at the scenario where i get a real good thanx from the one who had asked the question and still i get a single star rating from some one elseSmiley Mad

Hi muks,
I think that a newbie that asks something, maybe hasn't much knowledge to know if an answer is "good" or "bad" (maybe the solution works, but it can be a bad programming habit), while a PEV who's reading your answer to newbie question, will be able to judge if the answer is correct, isn't it?

If you feel you've been given one star uncorrectly, please link here the post you're mentioning, I think PEV will take a look ang give you 5 star if your answer was correct!

NO  mate .You cannot say that.A newbie or a vetran ,  anyone who expresses what he wants can obviously know whether he has got what he wants right?

Thanx for your concern mate but just because of a few miscreants  we should not  do this. Am enjoying this forum  and above all i really like coding labVIEW and am learning quiet a few things daily.  I dont want rating to dampen the spirit of our contribution.

Hi!
Sorry, I don't agree, because a newbie, when posting, maybe does not know (say for example) LabView in depth, so he may be told of an obsolete programming technique, or a non recommended practice, or a practice that, when program get more complex, becomes hard to maintain, while a more experienced developer may point the most scalable technique from the beginning.

Many who contribute regularly have had the 1 star syndrome.

Actually, I caught myself nearly giving a 1 star rating to Altenbach just last week.  It was due to clicking on the leftmost visible star at the bottom of his post.... which turned out to be for a single star 😮  Fortunately, the brain was faster than the mouse (or finger).

If you feel you received a wrong rating, then please post here or at the other thread that discusses ratings.  We're pretty good at fixing that 😉
