Observation about the rating's location

This is just an observation about the rating's location.  Not a criticism...  just an observation...

The ratings are located to the rightmost position of a page.  If images are attached, sometimes the page is not completely visible and hides the higher rating such as 4 & 5 .   If I like a post, I quickly head down to the right corner of the displayed window and go for the rightmost radio button.  I nearly gave Altenbach a rating of 2 on one of his posts 😮

[SHAME ON]
I've given a 1 star rating once because the eye was slower than the mouse  😞
[SHAME OFF]

With loss of peripheral vision to the right side, I now have to be 2X as caution when giving ratings...
or I need to slow down when reading posts 😉

Is it possible to move the ratings (1 to 5 stars) to the left, or have it adapt to the right of the active window? not the overall window..

Thanks,

RayR

They need to fix it so the margins don't blow when there are oversized attachments. This is an ongoing problem.

Another easy workaround would be to reverse the sorting and have 5 on the left and 1 on the right.

(...or have ratings 1..4 greyed out 🐵

Yes, reversing the order might actually be better 😉

and it would work.

Actually, I catch myself often having near bad ratings...   The ability to correct your own rating given within the next 5 minutes would also be nice... It could be done through the Edit menu.

and.... Exchange of "Add Tag" and "star rating" , will still become more comfortable.

Since, Add tag option was commonly less used by most of the people (afaik) .....

I believe I have fallen into the wrong rating trap as well. A couple of weeks ago I happened to notice that my ratings given average is now 4.9. I don't recall givning a non-5-star rating so I have to assume I punched the wrong button.

Bummer! It was the only perfect record I had. Smiley Sad

And the forms inablity to round is highlighted by my situation

Isn't "4.999895276992355220441931092261" close enough to 5?

I wonder how many times I didn't even notice which radio button got hit...  😮
Especially since it does not give the rating right away... 😮 😮

Hi All,

Thanks for the ratings feedback - I understand how frustrating the system is.  I certainly have not forgotten about all of these pitfalls.  I know it's slow going, but I am working to address the problems.

Thanks!
