I also get the error "file conteents don't match file type" when trying to attach a VI to a post. I'm using LabView 2012, Windows 7 OS, and FireFox 21.0

Test uploading different VI versions (Windows 7)
For me no problem to upload old versions

Upload an empty file as a VI.
Only works if file is not empty, but works if there is only one byte in the file. So not a valid VI file.

This issue still seems to be unresolved.
I tried attaching a .png file to a message which was a code snippet from the Code Capture Tool. It gave the same error message.

Hi Jordan,
Any update on this?
I am still having problems. I tried to attach a .png file today and receive the error. (Straight up image, not even a snippet.)
But I was able to resave it as a jpeg and it uploaded okay.
What did Lithium do a few weeks ago to break things?

Still not fixed.
Tried attaching a snippet as a .png file and still got the "The contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type"error.

Me too having problems as can be seen here (and in several other threads)!
I have to rename VIs to "*-vi" instead of usual "*.vi" to be able to upload them. When will Lithium fix this problem?
(Using FF22.0, Java disabled)

I just started seeing this today. When I attempt to upload a VI, using Firefox, I get "The contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type." However, I did successfully upload a PNG from Firefox, and in Internet Explorer I don't see this error at all even when attaching a VI.

I also got the "content does not match file type" message when uploading a VI just now in FF 22 (and in IETab). The upload worked from IE 10.

tst,
Were you trying to upload a VI as well?
