Stars vs Kudos

How the rating system used to work, the farthest left box next to your name signified the quality of your answers and was calculated using stars (which have now been replaced by kudos)

The stars used to work like this: 

<4 - none

4-4.5 - trusted

4.5-5 - proven

Since the stars are now gone, is there any way to change your first box? Or are you stuck with your current title?
Kudos could be a subsitution.

I still hope to work towards a new meaning for the first bar.  So far I haven't had time

I will definitely share ideas once I've worked up some possible plans.
