Who's been messing with the formatting?

How are things today? I need to continue to send Lithium time-stamped incidents if I can. Please let me know if you see problems, especially the formatting issues in Firefox where the page basically isn't usable at all.

Thanks,

Laura

Just got back from a meeting 🙂 and it looks "back to normal" in Firefox. Smiley Very Happy

Ok, I found what might be a problem, in this thread:

http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Able-to-help-me-find-a-template-LabVIEW-code-to-pilot-a-simple/m-p/1...

I attempted to imbed the link, associating it with the Lego Mindstorm/NXT reference, and it wouldn't "take", tried twice, including posting it to see if it really was, just not showing up pre-post, but it doesn't seem to, in Firefox.

Scratch my last post, it was a case of brain flatulence, or not so early onset dementia. Or, in the words of my daughter (about 19 years ago) an "oopsie".

In addition to the same misalignment Ravens' has been seeing, I've got thread subjects that like to disappear in IE8. The links are clickable, just invisible. I can see the link while the page is first loading, but it disappears during the page rendering process.

That's for invisible subjects which is a new feature.  You need special 3D glasses to read it, along with the appropriate display.

Has anyone seen the terrible formatting issues in Firefox in the last few days?

Thanks,

Laura

Ravens Fan - I just tried to reproduce the autosave issue in IE8 with compatibility on and off. Both times I could not get the problem to happen. I know there were some updates made last night so would it be possible to check today?

Thanks,

Laura

HI Laura,

A busy week at work and PC problems at home have kept me off the forums the last couple days.

Here is a screenshot from tonight still showing the problem on my work PC. (XP, IE8)  You can see at the top that compatibility mode is off (the coloring of the button matches the adjacent ones), and it also shows one of the worst cases of misalignment where things are completely jumping to other lines and overlapping each other.

A resize of the window does fix things.

Ravens Fan -

I know that you are still seeing formatting problems, but were you still seeing the problem with the editor window freezing / jumping when the autosave occurs? It doesn't seem to happen for me now.

Thanks,

Laura

Let me turn compatibility mode back on and find out.

The misalignment problems are still occurring with compatibility mode turned off.

Okay, while typing this message, an autosave occurred and everything seemed to behave properly.

I'll keep compatibility mode turned on, and if I notice any problems with autosave returning, I'll let you know.

Thanks.
