Why are my attachments truncated?

Molly, over the last few months I have seen several places where I posted more than one attachment and then the view is truncated, like these examples from the icons thread.

Any idea?

OK, I just checked and this seems to be caused by my signature. When I removed it I could see all of the attachment.

Also, it seems there something similar in Ben's signature.

Is this because of a pixel size limit for signatures? How about my situation?

Wow - this one was tricky.  One of your use cases suggested one thing and the other proved that completely wrong.

The good news is, I have figured it out!  The reason yours are cut off and Ben's aren't have to do with the HTML that you are using in your signature.  I didn't experiment with it significantly, but I believe it has to do with the DIV tag you are currently using.

Have a great day!

OK, I removed it, the signature seems unaffected and I can see the attachments now. Thanks.

I'm not sure why I used it in the first place. I don't really know HTML, so it's possible I just copied a piece of code from somewhere else which had it. Also, some reading suggests that it is used to seperate and align text and that might have been what I was going for.

BTW, look at my second post again. I wasn't saying that Ben's attachment aren't truncated, but that part of his signature is. The BIG RED ARROW should point you in the right direction. Smiley Very Happy

Hi tst,

I think I know what is happening in the case of my signature. I am restricted in the height of my signature. Including a line of text to say what version of LV I am using and using the CLA logo result in me using the all the space I am allowed less a couple of pixels.

If you are viewing one of my contributions to a thread that does NOT have a picture AND the browser window is very narrow, the browser wraps my signature to two lines and the wrapped CLA logo is clipped.

Size the window larger and the clipping goes away.

The interesting piece to me was that the attachments for Ben weren't truncated, but his signature was.  I knew his signature was running into the pixel height limit, but I was stumped by why his attachments weren't truncated and yours were.  Ben and I had already talked about why his signature was being truncated offline.

The good news is that we figured out both of them.

Is that clear?

Thanks!

Yeah, sure, I actually figured out that much when I originally pointed to it -
